NORTH PERU PRE-INCA CIRCUIT TOUR

Three aspects of Northern peru Archaeology and Forest Tour

The North Peru CIrcuit Tour starts on the coast in Trujillo with a visit to the huge Moche complex of Huaca de la Luna and Sol. To the north of the city is Chan Chan bilt by the Chimu - a group of palaces built from mud bricks. Then we head north to Chiclao via El Brujo, a Moche pyramid and where the tattoed Lady of Cao was buried.

From Chiclayo we visit the highlights: a visit to Ventarron: a temple complex which has the oldest murals in the Americas. We will visit the Royal Tombs Museum and Tucume before heading to see the natural wonder of Gocta Waterfall close to Chachapoyas. Then we spend three more days in the Chachapoyas area, visiting the main archaeological remains (Kuelap, Karajia and Revash), finishing with a visit to the Mummy Museum of Leymebamba. Leaving the Chachapoyas area along the most spectacular road in Peru we drive to Cajamarca to enjoy some the fascinating pre-Inca aqueduct at Cumbe Mayo and to wrap the tour off - the colonial city.
