Northern Peru Forest Tour

The Northern Peru Forest Tour visits the diverse natural landscapes all of which are easily accessible. We will visit various forest areas: the Pacific Dry Forest, Cloud Forest, Seasonal Dry Forest and the Rain Forest of the higher Amazon Plain. The Northern Peru Forest Tour also visits some of the main archaeological attractions in the Chiclayo and Chachapoyas area including the Royal Tombs Museum, Tucume, the Leymebamba Mummy Museum and Kuelap.

  Day 1 Ventarron, Royal Tombs Museum, Tucume.  Night at Los Faiques (Pacific Dry Forest)
  
  Day 2 Drive to Cocachimba.  Night at Gocta Lodge
  
  Day 3 Gocta Waterfall.  Night at Gocta Lodge. (Cloud Forest)
  
  Day 4 Kuelap.  Night at La Casa de Doña Lola (Seasonal Dry Forest)
  
  Day 5 Leymebamba. Atuen/Valley of the Condors Valley. Mummy Museum. Night at La Casa de Doña Lola (Cloud Forest)
  
  Day 6 Drive to Moyobamba via Abra Patricia.  Night in Altavista Casa Hotel.
  
  Day 7 Tingana Forest Reserve (High Amazon Forest).  Drive on to Tarapoto in the afternoon.
